In Memoriam SANFORD "JOE" FRISHKORN
Sandford “Joe” Frishkorn, age 77, of Zelienople, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born April 21, 1947 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Samuel and Thelma Stevick Frishkorn.
Joe proudly served in the U.S. Army Special Forces from 1966-1968 during the Vietnam conflict. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. Joe will be remembered for always looking for the best place to have breakfast. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of nearly 55 years, Lynne Sekely Frishkorn, whom he married on January 3, 1970; his grandson, Zac Frishkorn; his sister, Judith (Bill) Kennedy; his son-in-law, Matt Zajacs; his special friends, Layna Harper and Bryan Belles; and many nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his daughters, Jenni Frishkorn in 1980, and Dawn Frishkorn in 2022; and his five siblings, Samuel Jr., Gary, George, Jackie and Jan
There will be no services per Joe's wishes.
