Since the founding of our charter, the Zelienople American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue the tradion of welcoming all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.

At the FEB. 13, 2025 Legionaire meeting, The Butler VA facility will be attending to present the services/benefits that are available to American veterans. If you know of any vets in the area, whether they’re Legion members or not, who would like to meet the VA reps, bring them with you to the next Legion meeting.

LEGION FAMILY
Post 474 has a long and vibrant history in the community. Whether it be for funeral details, parades, memorial dedications, our Legion family members are an active part of the Zelieople and surrounding community.
POST INFORMATION & INVOLVEMENT
The Paul Luther Geissenhainer Post was formed in 1920. The current building was originally a quonset hut that was remodeled into it's current facade in the 1980s.
Our Legion's success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. The organization belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.

HALL RENTAL
Our Banquet Hall which seats about 200 individuals, has a bar, rest rooms, a separate entrance, on site kitchen facilities and a spacious dance floor.
